First (Official) Haircut
While I’ve trimmed Emma’s hair from time to time over the past year or so, she’s never had a proper haircut. She was in need of one.
Let’s just say she was looking decidedly sheepdogish:
Emma thought the whole process was quite interesting… for about 2 minutes
then, she was ready to leave
so we had to distract her:
and amuse her: (thwacking Mommy on the head with a brush was great fun!)
and finally, a little bribery was used (she held the lollipop, but didn’t get to taste it):
Now we can actually see Emma’s baby blues:
Not to be forgotten, Big Sister also came along for a trim and was given the royal treatment by everyone at our favourite salon:
Daddy then took both girls off for a treat while Mommy enjoyed having her hair cut, too…nothing like a bit of pampering to make everyone feel special

What a lovely do! Emma is totally cute, both before during and after she was shorn.
Meanwhile, in case you have not nearly enough going on in your lives (!!!), I just tagged you with a crazy eights meme that’s been going around….have fun figuring out which random factoids you’d like to reveal. See our blog for details!

Maybe that’s what I have to do to get Nathan near a GOOD hairdresser. Man he only wants me to cut it and then he doesn’t sit still. I LOVE the Whacking. I can hear her giggle now.

Amazing how that first “real” haircut makes them look so grown up, isn’t it? Gosh, those girls get more beautiful by the day…
